Mol runs into his childhood friend Nora, who has since turned into a radical animal rights activist. As always, Nora effortlessly drags him along in her schemes. By the time Mol is ready to come to his senses, he is lying in a ditch next to the country’s largest slaughterhouse. The building he has just set on fire.
Coming to his senses works quite well, until Mol realizes he is still following Nora’s bidding. She asks him to write instructions on how to set fire to a slaughterhouse, and what mistakes to avoid.
The Instructions, written in Trujillo’s characteristic humorous style, is not only a fantastic account of revolution in progress by people with more ideals than skill. It is above all an ode to the belief in a greater good, so indispensable in our times.
