Carolina Trujillo (1970) is a writer and columnist for NRC Handelsblad. In 2002, she debuted with the novel De bastaard van Mal Abrigo, which was awarded the Marten Toonder/Geertjan Lubberhuizenprijs . De terugkeer van Lupe García, published in 2009, was shortlisted for the AKO Literatuurprijs and won the BNG Literatuurprijs. Meisjes in blessuretijd received the Jan Hanlo Essayprijs in 2019.
