Sana Valiulina

Sana Valiulina (1964) studied Norwegian language and literature in Moscow and has lived in Amsterdam since 1989. Previous titles include Didar en Faruk (2006, nominated for the Libris Literatuurprijs), the very well received Kinderen van Brezjnev (2014), Winterse buien (2016, winner of the Jan Hanlo Essay Prize) and Wortel en tak (2021). In 2024 she released Where All Roads End, a beautifully written memoir in which she interweaves her own childhood memories with a reconstruction of her Tatar father's life.
