Nadia de Vries’ (1991) debut novel, De Bakvis, was published by Pluim in 2022 and nominated for the prestigious Libris Literatuurprijs and the Boekenbon Literatuurprijs. In 2024, it was translated by Sarah Timmer Harvey and published in the UK as Thistle. Additionally, De Vries has published the longform essay Kleinzeer (Hypochondriac) in 2019 and three English language poetry collections. Her poetry has been translated to Polish, Romanian and Latvian and she currently works as an editor at nY magazine.
