Marijn Sikken (Utrecht, 1990) won both the jury and the audience award of the writing contest Write Now! in 2011. Short stories by Sikken came out in De Titaan, Passionate Platform, Kluger Hans, Tirade and De Optimist. For the latter, she also works as an editor. Sikken wrote columns for Youth-R-Well.com, an online community for young arthritis patients, and Literair Nederland. Additionally, she is active in the Wilhelmina Children’s Hospital in Utrecht, where she deals with patient participation.
