Gerrit Kouwenaar (Amsterdam,1923-2014) was one of the most praised Dutch writers of the second half of the twentieth century. With his last big collection, Totaal witte kamer (2002), he completed his oeuvre. On the 9th of August 2023 it will be a hundred years ago since Gerrit Kouwenaar was born.
