Bert Koopman (1959) studied Piano, Journalism and History. He worked at Het Financiële Dagblad (the Dutch Financial Times), heading the Art department for twenty years. As a historian, he works on a thesis about the post-war history of the Concertgebouw Orchestra from a business standpoint.
Theo Berkhout (1941) nearly worked fifty years in the catacombs of the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. Starting as painter, he worked his way to technical services, stage manager from the Dutch Chamber Orchestra and Concertgebouw Orchestra. He has worked with Bernard Haitink, Riccardo Chailly and Mariss Jansons and has managed several international tours. He is called the 'Godfather of the Concertgebouw Orchestra'.
