Anne Folkertsma (Amsterdam, 1964) studied in Amsterdam and Berlin Germanic and translation studies. She has worked as an editor for several publishing houses since 1991, and since 2011 she has been active as a Dutch-German translator. For Cossee Publishers she has revised the translations of the Fallada classics Kleiner Mann, wass nun?, Der Trinker and Jeder stirbt für sich allein (Alone in Berlin). She also translated In meinem fremden Land and Der Alpdrück. She received the Straelener Förderpreis for her translations in 2015.
